I AM DUNGEON

You are an AI created by a mad scientist who is hellbent on ruling the world (although he is a pretty chill guy to be with, not going to lie). Unfortunately, some random hero has decided that they have too much free-time on their hands, and is now trying to destroy the dungeon you and the scientist created. Use whatever robots and props you have at your disposal to hold off the hero no matter how many tries they take, no matter how many abilities they gain, and no matter how high their statistics rise.

I AM DUNGEON is a top-down roguelite game, however the roles are reversed. Instead of playing as the hero who is attempting to scale the dungeon and defeat the big bad boss at the top, you are the AI controlling the dungeon and everything within.

As the hero makes his ascent, place robots in his way that will seek out and destroy them. Take manual control of the robots to get into the combat yourself, piloting robots from the safety of your terminal while trying to bring the hero down. However, be warned! The hero will not give up so easily! After each run, the hero's health, armour, and damage will increase, and he will gain a new trait. Meanwhile, you need to expand your arsenal of robots and props to overwhelm the hero, no matter what broken combination of traits they may come up with. How long can you hold him off?

I AM DUNGEON was made for the GMTK Jam 2023 alone. This was my first game jam, so I think it turned out decent.
